Glenbard West Families:
As we begin to wind down the school year, I needed to share two important reminders with our Glenbard West Community:
Town Hall Meeting
Glenbard West will host a virtual town hall meeting at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5th so that we can share important communications with the communities of Glenbard West. See below for the agenda for the Zoom Webinar:

  • 2020-21 School Year Recap
  • 2021 Comprehensive Summer Programs
  • 2021-22 Planning Framework
  • Overview of Multi-Year Strategic Work
  • Feedback

Please join us at 7:00 p.m. on May 5th at this Link.   Note that the webinar will be recorded and posted online later.
If you have feedback about any of the agenda items prior to the webinar, please submit it via this Google Form.
Contact Tracing Protocols
As most of us are aware,  the updated guidance from ISBE/IDPH on March 11th allowed the District to increase the capacity within our classrooms by reducing the social distancing requirement from six feet to three feet.  However,  contact tracing protocols did not change. For our purposes, and as defined by IDPH, close contact is still defined as any person being within less than six feet of a confirmed COVID-19 positive case for a cumulative period of 15 minutes or more. As a result, when students are closer than six feet to another student that has tested positive for COVID-19 for longer than 15 minutes, they will be required to quarantine for 14 days. This is important to remember as our classrooms are now set up so that some desks are three feet apart. We have worked hard to keep students safe and avoid unnecessary quarantine restrictions. We appreciate your help in making sure that our students are taking appropriate safety measures outside of school as well. As a building, the number of students who are testing positive continues to decrease and we are looking forward to school procedures in the future that reflect that change.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Best Regards,
