Important Parent Teacher Conference Information

We are looking forward to this year’s Parent-Teacher Conferences, which will be held on Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday, October 23. Our conference slots fill up very quickly, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible once the portal opens.

Like last year, families will have two options for conferences: virtual conferences through Zoom on Wednesday, 10/22 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and in-person conferences at Glenbard West on Thursday, 10/23 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Students will be released at 1:00 p.m. on both conference days (bell schedule below). There is no school on Friday, 10/24.

Families will be able to schedule conferences between 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5 and 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19. Your final conference schedule will be emailed to you on October 21.

Glenbard District 87 uses PowerPTC to schedule all Parent-Teacher Conferences. Families will need their Parent PowerSchool login to sign up. Please use the following instructions to use PowerPTC when the portal opens:

1. To access PowerPTC, ?rst log into your Parent PowerSchool account. Then click the  icon in the top right corner. Select PowerPTC.
2. Click on “Conference Schedule.”
3. Select the date for which you would like to schedule your appointments:
   1. ALL conferences on Wednesday, October 22 will be virtual conferences through Zoom from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
   2. ALL conferences on Thursday, October 23 will be in person at Glenbard West from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
4. Select a starting time for your appointments. Be sure to allow for adequate time to travel from one location to the next when scheduling appointments for Thursday’s in-person meetings.
5. If you would not like to attend conferences with certain courses, uncheck the box under the “Schedule” column. If you have a student in Drivers Education, please only select the classroom teacher.
6. Click “Build Your Schedule Now!” NOTE: If you want to manually schedule your appointments, click the “Manually Schedule” button in the bottom right.
7. If you are scheduling for more than one student, you can switch the active student by clicking on the “Select a Student” link from the left-hand menu.
