What is the timeline for students on E-Learning Days?
8AM: Students can access their E-Learning Day class work in Schoology for all of their classes. Each teacher will decide when the class work is due. Generally, student work is not due until at least the next day, to allow for dealing with the pandemic situation.
By 1PM: Students must complete the Google Attendance Form in their second period Schoology course before 1PM on the E-Learning Day. This includes students with second period study halls. Morning TCD students at North will check-in through their TCD Schoology group. All other TCD students will check in through their 1-2-3 period course in Schoology.
What kind of work will students be expected to do on E-Learning Days?
Class work on E-Learning days will substantially align with what the course is currently doing. Though each class may vary, students will receive about 40-50 minutes of total work for each course, for a total of about five hours.
Where will the E-Learning Day instructional materials for students be located?
All directions and instructional materials will be posted in Schoology for each class. Login to Schoology with your Glenbard Google email and password.
When will student work for E-Learning Days be due?
E-Learning days are an asynchronous experience, meaning that the learning is not happening at the same time for all students. Students will work on their assignments when it makes sense for them as they may need to deal with emergency conditions within their home.
Each teacher will decide what E-Learning school work is assigned and when it is due. Generally, student work is not due until at least the next day, to allow for dealing with the pandemic situation. Teachers are encouraged to provide enough time to complete E-Learning day work and be flexible with students who may need additional time due to the pandemic situation.
How is student attendance tracked on E-Learning Days?
Attendance will be recorded for the E-Learning Day in every second period class via a Google Attendance Form in Schoology. Students must complete the form before 1PM on the E-Learning Day.
If a student cannot participate in the E-Learning Day, then parents or guardians should call in the absence using the normal absence notification procedures.
How can students receive technical support for E-Learning Days?
