In-Person New Student Orientation

As you are aware, Glenbard Schools plan to start in-person learning (as described in the hybrid schedule) on October 19. Glenbard West has designated time for all new Hilltoppers to walk through their schedules and familiarize themselves with the building. This in-person opportunity will take place on October 15th and 16th  from 2pm-2:30pm.  Students who are a part of Hybrid Group A are invited to attend on Oct 15th.  Students in Hybrid Group B are invited to attend on October 16th.  Hybrid Group A includes last names starting with A-K and Hybrid Group B includes last names starting with L-Z.

Our Jr/Sr Mentors and staff will be stationed throughout the school to help maintain social distancing as well as give directions.  Click HERE for school maps so you can plan your route.

  1. All students must enter through door 2 or 23.
  2. To comply with social distancing protocol we ask that students enter the building independently.  Exceptions will be made for students requiring assistance.
  3. Students will be asked to self certify on our Self Certification Form, prior to entering the bus and/or building, that they do not present with COVID-19 symptoms. If any student refuses to self certify, they must be refused entry into the bus and the administrator at the school must be notified (No Exceptions).
  4. Students who are ill or present COVID-19 like symptoms will not be allowed to enter the building. (No Exceptions)
  5. Face masks covering both the mouth and nose must be worn at all times while in the building.
  6. Everyone must follow social distancing guidelines at all times; including on the bus as much as possible.
  7. Students are encouraged to bring a copy of their schedule (digital or paper).  Schedules will not be available from the school.
  8. Students must leave school grounds when finished.  We cannot have students congregating around school grounds after orientation. (e.g. sidewalks, parking lots, athletic fields, etc.).

Busses:

Face masks must be worn at the bus stop and at all times while on the bus.  Modified bus routes will run on both days, so students can take the bus to Glenbard West and back home. These bus stops will NOT be the same as the daily bus route. The bus stops, pick up and drop off times have been updated.
